Out of Jimmy's Head is a live action/animation spin off series of the movie Re-Animated that first premiered on September 14, 2007. However, due to bad ratings, viewer backlash, and the Writer's Guild of America Strike of 2007, the show was cancelled on May 29, 2008 with only 20 episodes under its belt.

Plot Edit

The show takes place after the events of Re-Animated that resulted in a kid named Jimmy Roberts receiving the brain of legenday animator Milt Appleday after an accident with a theme park train. This also resulted in Jimmy seeing the cartoons that Milt had created. This show focuses on Jimmy and his friends named Robin and Craig and their adventures at school while coping with the fact that he can see cartoon characters while others can't.

The program's cast won a combined Young Artist Award in 2008 for "Best Young Ensemble Performance in a TV Series". The show was nominated at the same ceremony for "Best Family Television Series", and Tinashe Kachingwe and Caden Michael Gray were nominated for "Best Performance in a TV Series - Supporting Young Actress" and "Best Performance in a TV Series - Recurring Young Actor", respectively.

Reception Edit

Despite the award nominations listed above, this show received universally negative reviews from critics, Cartoon Network fans, and casual viewers. The shows currently holds a 2.3 average on IMDb and a 3.2 average on The two main issues that the show suffers from are the focus on Jimmy, his friends, and their adventures at school and the cliche episode plots.
